Compact storage system and its use

The storage system for frozen biological samples comprises an insulated cabinet (8, 9) whose interior is cooled below -15[deg] C. This is fitted with a series of paternosters (3) and a robot (7) above them which can remove e.g. bottles from the shelves (5) as they reach the top of the paternoster. An independent claim is included for a method for storing frozen biological samples using the system.
