A back light unit and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to separate a lamp guide into a lamp fixing member and a diffusion plate support member and to replace a lamp holder for fixing an end of the lamp with the lamp fixing member. A lamp(176) is located on a bottom case(175) and generated the light beam. A diffusion plate(174) diffuses the light beam. A lamp holder(178) is located on the bottom case and fixes both ends of the lamp. At least one or more lamp support member is installed on the bottom case and fixes the lamp. At least one or more diffusion plate support member(150) is fixed at an arbitrary position on the bottom case, combined with the lamp support member and the bottom case and supports the diffusion plate. A portion of the diffusion plate support member is combined with the bottom case and supports the diffusion plate. The diffusion plate includes a support member having any one of a trigonal pyramid, a cone and a polygonal pyramid. |
