A seat opening/closing device for a toilet stool is provided to make a seat of a toilet stool stood automatically, and to remove the user's inconvenience of bending his/her waist and lifting the seat. A seat opening/closing device for a toilet stool includes a control portion, a weight sensing sensor(110), a timer and an opening/closing unit(112). The weight sensing sensor is electrically connected to the control portion. Plural sensing sensors are installed on a seat(104) to sense the user's weight and transmit the sensing signal to the control portion. The timer is installed on one side of the control portion, and is electrically connected to the control portion to count the set up time according to the control of the control portion. The seat opening/closing unit pivots the seat according to the control of the control portion or a user.
