A peak intensity level control device, a self light-emitting display device, an electronic device, a peak intensity level control method, and a computer program are provided to stabilize image quality by fixing gamma conversion value irrespective of input display data. A peak intensity level control device includes an average gray value calculating unit(23), a driving condition controller(25), and a gamma converting unit(27). The average gray scale value calculating unit calculates an average gray scale value of display data supplied to a self light-emitting display device. The driving condition controller controls driving conditions of the self light-emitting display device in order to guide a peak intensity level suitable for the average gray scale value when an intensity enhancement operation on the peak intensity level is executed. The gamma converting unit applies a gamma conversion on the display data so as not to increase power consumption based on a standard peak intensity level operation when the intensity enhancement operation on the peak intensity level is executed.
