AIR BRAKE FOR RAILWAY VEHICLES

摘要

An air brake for a railway vehicle is provided to prevent generation of fatal accidents by reducing a braking distance of the railway vehicle in an emergency. An air brake for a railway vehicle(100) includes a brake member(200), a driving unit(300), and a control unit. The brake member is installed at an end part of one side of a body of the railway vehicle. The driving unit drives the brake member. The control unit controls the driving unit. The brake member has a brake plate(210) applied with air resistance and a housing unit(220) containing the brake plate. The driving unit has an air pressure cylinder(310) installed at a lower part of the housing unit and a piston rod(320) connected to the brake plate by the air pressure cylinder to lift the braking plate.
