A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simplify a manufacturing process without a separate patterning process by forming a second pixel electrode with a shadow mask. A thin film transistor(Tdr) is formed on an insulating substrate(111) and has a drain electrode(143). A separator(151) is formed on the thin film transistor and has an opening unit(152) to define a pixel region and a contact hole(153) to expose the drain electrode. A first electrode(161) is connected to the drain electrode through the contact hole and has a first part in contact with the insulating substrate and a second part not in contact with the insulating substrate. An organic layer(170) is formed on the first electrode and has an organic light emitting layer. A second electrode(180) is formed on the organic layer.
