The subject of invention is a new application of coenzyme Q10 as additive or supplement to animal fodder or liquids for animals in their breeding to increase the efficiency of breeding and enrich animal tissues, particularly meat, with coenzyme Q10. The subjects of invention are also animal tissues, first of all coenzyme Q10-enriched meat. In addition to all kinds of meat, bone, skin, etc., poultry eggs and milk from diary animals are also understood under animal tissues in the frame of the invention. The invention comprises the application of coenzyme Q10 for a more efficient breeding of animals and obtaining of meat with increased content of this coenzyme, where the transfer of coenzyme Q10 into animals is done through ingestion or direct transfer into or onto the body, where coenzyme Q10 is in a suitable water-soluble or water-insoluble form, preferentially in a form with increased bioavailability, so that animals ingest or are given enzyme Q10 in other ways all their life or for a certain period any time in their life, preferably in the phases of growth, and/or for any period prior to slaughter, still more preferably during the phases of growth and/or 3 to 90 days prior to slaughter, and that animals ingest it in quantities of 1 to 1000 mg, more preferably 1 to 20 mg. Coenzyme Q10 is added to fodder or liquids for animals, where fodder can be any animal food, either unprocessed or processed, natural or artificial or industrially prepared. |
