The invention relates to a water-based herbicidal suspension in which decomposition of a herbicidal sulfonylurea compound or its salt in water is suppressed and excellent suspensibility of which is maintained. The water-based herbicidal suspension comprises (1) a herbicidal sulfonylurea compound (excluding 1-[3[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-ylcarbamoyl)sulfamoyl]-2-pyridyl]-2-fluoropropyl methoxyacetate and N-[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl]-2-(2-fluoro-1-hydroxypropyl)-3-pyridinesulfonamide) or its salt, (2) an inorganic salt, (3) at least one sulfonate selected from the group consisting of an aryl sulfonate, an alkylaryl sulfonate and their formaldehyde condensates and (4) water.
