A fluid transfer device for transferring fluid along a flow path (1). A vibration plate (3a) for generating an acoustic wave and a reflection plate (2) for reflecting the acoustic wave are arranged facing each other on opposite sides of the flow path (1). The fluid is transferred by an acoustic pressure gradient produced in the flow path (1) by vibration of the vibration plate (3a). Further, a fuel cell has a membrane-electrode assembly (14) formed by arranging an anode (14c) and a cathode (14b) on both sides of an electrolyte film (14a), and the fluid transfer device is used to transfer fluid to the anode (14c) and/or the cathode (14b) forming the membrane-electrode assembly (14).
