PROCESS AND INSTALLATION FOR THE PURIFICATION OF A GAS FLOW

The invention relates to a process and an installation for the purification of an exhaust gas flow resulting in particular from garbage incineration. According to the invention, the process consists of the dedusting of gases by passing them over a glass or ceramic ring packing sprinkled in the first place with water and then with a recycled solution, followed by the retention of heavy metals on a cationic ion exchanging resin, specific to their nature. The installation for appling the process comprises a vessel with ring packing ensuring the total dedusting of gases, a vessel with active carbon packing ensuring a high retention degree for chemical pollutants and the partial reduction of sulphur or nitrogen oxides or dioxines to non-polluting compounds, and a cationic filter retaining the cations of heavy metals from the washing liquid.
