A semiconductor device and a driving method thereof are provided to supply a voltage to a memory stably and to perform wireless communication, when data is written in the memory. A power supply voltage generation circuit(103) generates a DC voltage from an AC voltage. A demodulation circuit(104) extracts data from the AC voltage. A boosting circuit(107) boosts the DC voltage, and supplies the boosted DC voltage to a memory(106). A boosting control part(108) controls the boosting circuit to boost the DC voltage after a command end signal of the data is detected.
