VARIABLE DIAMETER VORTEX TUBE

A vortex tube with a variable diameter is provided to improve engine output by supplying the compressed air of uniform temperature to an engine by controlling the size of nozzles according to the pressure of the air compressed by a turbo charger. A vortex tube with a variable diameter includes a casing(110) formed with an inlet(112) for injecting compressed air, a vortex generator(120) formed in the casing for converting the injected compressed air to primary vortex, a first tube(140) extended long in the flow direction of the primary vortex and formed with a first outlet(142) at an end, a recovery valve(150) mounted in a front end of the first tube, and a second tube(160) extended in the opposite direction of the first tube and formed with a second outlet(162) at a front end. A plurality of vanes are formed radially at the front end of the vortex generator around the first tube and nozzles are formed between the vanes for introducing the compressed air, wherein control valves are formed at the respective vanes for controlling the size of the nozzles.
