FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods of producing aluminium oxychloride used as a coagulant at water purification and as a component of fragrance and cosmetic items. The method of producing aluminium oxycloride includes metallic aluminium treatment with chlorine containing solution at heating.
