The vortex stabilizer is movably mounted between a vortex stabilization position and a particle discharge position. #CMT# : #/CMT# The apparatus for separating catalyzed solid particles and gaseous materials to treat gaseous effluent from a catalyst regenerator, comprises a centrifugal separation vessel having an inlet (22) for receiving the solid particles in suspension in the gaseous material, discharge units (23, 27) for the purified gaseous material and the separated solid particles and a vortex stabilizer (25), an actuation unit, and a recalling unit. The vortex stabilizer is movably mounted between a vortex stabilization position and a particle discharge position, and is rotatably mounted in a manner so as to be inclined in the discharge position. The vortex stabilizer is equipped with a traversing hole on a part of its surface. A peripheral edge of stabilizer is distant from a wall of the centrifugal separation vessel. The actuation unit causes the displacement of the stabilizer from its stabilization position to its particle discharge position. The recalling unit brings back the stabilizer from its particle discharge position to its stabilization position. The actuation unit and the recalling units are placed in an interior and an exterior of the centrifugal separation vessel, and are controlled by a device.
