FIELD: electricity; technological processes. ^ SUBSTANCE: installation contains source of current for creation of start mode and mode of installation operation, initiator of plasma arc, unit of current control with regulator of initial current and unit of control for start-up and shut down of current source operation, generator of linear saw-tooth voltage with controller of saw-tooth voltage rise speed, controller of initial current appearance time with timer and controller of heating current rise time with the second timer. Timers are connected between each other. The input of the first timer is connected to unit of control for start-up and shut down of current source operation. Outputs of the first and second timers are connected to generator of linear saw-tooth voltage, the output of which is connected to unit of current control. ^ EFFECT: expansion of plasma-arc installation resources; reliable and strong electrocontact connection of carbon bearing material with busbar; considerable increase of electrolytic cell operation service life for electrolytic production of magnesium. ^ 1 dwg |
