Used especially for conditioning human hair. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# A new hair treatment composition which enables long-lasting fixation combined with retention of good cosmetic properties. #CMT#ORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Compositions: If (X) and (Y) react by hydrosilylation, (X) is a silicon compound, especially a polyorganosiloxane, with at least two unsaturated aliphatic groups. These polysiloxanes (X) contain siloxane units of formula (I) and (II). R mR'(SiO) (3-m)/2(I) R n(SiO) (4-n)/2(II) R : 1-30C hydrocarbyl; m : 1 or 2; R 91>2-10C unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbyl or 5-8C unsaturated cyclic hydrocarbyl; n : 1, 2 or 3. In this case, preferred (X) comprises organic or hybrid organic/silicone oligomers or polymers with at least 2 unsaturated aliphatic groups (various polymer types listed, e.g. acrylic polymers or polyurethanes), and (Y) comprises organo-hydrogen-siloxanes with at least two Si-H groups, especially compounds with units of formula (III). R pH(SiO) (3-p)/2(III) p= 1 or 2. The terminal groups of formula (III) are CH 3SiO 1/2. The catalyst is a platinum- or tin-based catalyst, present in amounts of 0.0001-20 wt.%. If (X) and (Y) react by condensation, these compounds contain at least two lateral and/or terminal alkoxysilane and/or silanol groups; preferred compounds are polyorganosiloxanes with at least two alkoxysilane groups, based on units of formula (IV) and (V), with at least two terminal groups of formula (VI). Alternatively, (X) and (Y) may react by crosslinking in presence of peroxide. Generally, the weight-average molecular weights of (X) and (Y) are in the range from 200 to 1 million. Component (b) comprises alkoxysilanes of formula R 4-nSiX nin which X : alkoxy; R : a 1-12C monovalent organic radical (optionally containing groups such as mercapto, epoxy, (meth)acrylyl, fluoro, aryl, amino or urea); n : 1-4 , especially 3-aminopropyl-triethoxy-silane or 3-mercaptopropyl-triethoxy-silane. Other possible components include fillers, organic solvents and/or silicone solvents. #CMT#[Image]#/CMT# #CMT#DEFINITIONS : #/CMT# Preferred Definitions: R : methyl; R 9>1>vinyl or -R 9>2>-CH=CHR 9>3>; R 9>2>1-8C hydrocarbylene (attached to silicon); R 9>3>H or 1-4C alkyl . #CMT#EXAMPLE : #/CMT# A hair treatment formulation comprising (C1) a mixture of 50% mixture (A~), 40% cyclopentadimethlysiloxane (D5), 0.5% DC Z 6011(RTM: aminopropyl-triethoxy-silane) and 9.5% water, and (C2) a mixture of 50% mixture (B~) and 50% (D5). Mixture (A~) comprised 25-45 wt.% bis-trimethoxysiloxyethyl-tetramethyldisiloxyethyl-dimethicone (polymer), 5-20 wt.% silylated silica (filler) and 30-70 wt.% disiloxane (solvent); mixture (B~) comprised 80-99 wt.% disiloxane solvent and 1-20 wt.% tetra-tert.-butyltitanate (catalyst). (C1) and (C2) were mixed in a wt. ratio of 10:1, applied to short, dry hair and dried for 30 minutes in the open air followed by 30 minutes under a hair dryer. The hair-dressing effects obtained were resistant to several shampooings. The product was removed by treatment with D5, leaving hair with a particularly soft, cosmetic feel.
