SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING OBJECT RESOLUTION INFORMATION USING OBJECT IDENTIFIER

A system and a method for providing object resolution information by using an OID(Object ID) are provided to enable a terminal to obtain the object resolution information for resolving an object including the OID from an object resolution information providing system by using the OID. A terminal(100) reads an object including an OID, and converts the OID into an OID domain name of an FQDN(Fully Qualified Domain Name) type, generates/transmits a query message including the OID domain name to a main local server(400), receives a response message from the main local server, and resolve the object including the OID by using object resolution information included in the response message. The main local server transmits the received query message to a central server(300) and obtains the address information of a local server(200) storing the object resolution information related to the OID domain name included in the query message from the central server. The main local server obtains the object resolution information related to the OID domain name by connecting to the local server based on the obtained address information and transmits the response message including the obtained object resolution information to the terminal.
