#CMT# #/CMT# The projectile (1) has a cylindrical body (10) terminated at its front by an ogive shaped nose (20). A removable cylindrical sleeve (30) allows assembly of a guiding system e.g. laser guiding equipment, at the front of the body, and is fixed on a cylindrical connection part (25) of the nose, where the guiding system conforms to OTAN standard. The connection part carries an outer thread co-operating with an inner thread formed in a rear part (31) of the sleeve. The sleeve is made of low-resilience material e.g. brittle steel, and the nose is made of rigid material e.g. steel. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Guided military projectile i.e. penetrating aerial bomb, for being launched from ground, sea or in air by using a military vehicle e.g. fighter aircraft, boat, tank, submarine, artillery battery, cruiser, or bomber, for penetrating a hard target e.g. concrete wall. Can also be used for a missile or penetrating charge. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The ogive shape of the nose facilitates the penetration of the projectile in the target, and allows optimal distribution of the constraints generated during penetrating phase of the projectile. The removable cylindrical sleeve facilitates the assembly of the guiding system on the body of the projectile, and reduces energy dissipation during an impact of the projectile against the target.
