<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic material which has high density and high electric resistivity and can be used, e.g., for a permanent magnet and a core for a power transformer. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic material 10 consists of: 85 to 99 wt.% of magnetic powder 11 which has, when a ratio of particle diameter to thickness is called aspect ratio, a scale shape of >5 aspect ratio and is composed of a metallic phase of Nd-Fe-B phase; and 15 to 1 wt.% of mica 12 selected from scale-shaped white mica, gold mica and synthetic mica. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
