<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a plurality of formed surface mount resistors on an assembly line using a single ribbon to form main bodies of the resistors and carrier strips. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a plurality of formed surface mount resistors 10 comprises a process of preparing an elongated ribbon 24 wound around a reel 22, a process of reeling it out, a process of forming a carrier part 26 on the elongated ribbon, a process of forming cross section shape of the elongated ribbon by roll forming or a stamping processing, a separation process of partially dividing the elongated ribbon into a plurality of individual main body members, a process of adjusting resistance of each member, and a process of cutting it along a cut line 32 in the longitudinal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
