<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container for liquid having excellent gas barrier properties. <P>SOLUTION: The paper container for liquid is formed by folding a laminated material composed of an outermost layer, a paper substrate, a laminate film layer having gas barrier properties, and an innermost layer. In the laminate film layer having gas barrier properties, an vapor-deposited film of an inorganic oxide is provided on the film surface of the substrate, a primer coat layer is provided on the surface of the vapor-deposited film of the inorganic oxide, an anchor coat layer consisting of an anchor coat composition containing polyethylene imine is provided on the primer coat layer, and a heat-bonded layer is laminated on the anchor coat layer.
