<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical instrument which has performance equal to that of a musical instrument using wood with a high specific gravity although using wood with a low specific gravity. <P>SOLUTION: The musical instrument has a wooden member formed by applying compressive force along the plate thickness of wood in a plate shape with a specific gravity of≤0.5. The compressibility along the plate thickness by the compression of the wooden member is preferably 0.50 to 0.70. Such a wooden member is formed by applying the compressive force along the plate thickness by a pair of metal molds after being softened in a steam atmosphere of high temperature and high pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
