摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine torque control device and its adjusting method capable of maintaining high drivability, even when an air-fuel ratio is changed to the air-fuel ratio on the leaner side, in an engine control system equipped with an EGR device. SOLUTION: This device has a constitution equipped with a program for controlling variably a fuel injection amount which is a torque parameter, so that a torque fluctuation portion caused by a recirculation HC amount is compensated corresponding to the recirculation HC amount at every time when being recirculated by the EGR device during a prescribed period just after an air-fuel ratio change timing t0, when the air-fuel ratio is changed to the air-fuel ratio on the leaner side. To put it in detail, in the program, just after the air-fuel ratio change timing t0, the fuel injection amount is controlled once to a value (a smaller fuel injection amount L12 than a fuel injection amount L11) on the furthermore torque reducing side than a value (fuel injection amount L11) at an engine steady operation time, and then changed to the value (fuel injection amount L11) at the engine steady operation time over a prescribed time.
