PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the onset of the onset for type-2 diabetes for Japanese that utilizes a method of identifying type-2 diabetes-sensitive gene for type 2 diabetes, that contributes to a number of genes of multifactorial disorder, or the like. SOLUTION: The method for determining the onset risk of type-2 diabetes uses one or more bases as markers for determining type 2 diabetes susceptibility selected from among the bases, represented by specific numbers and SNP932, SNP935, SNP938 and SNP943 of long arm region of chromosome 10, in the human genome sequence in the dbSNP database of the United States.
