A light blocking film and an optical filter for a display apparatus having the same are provided to improve contrast ratio in a light room condition by having flexible optical characteristics according to environmental change. A light blocking film(230) includes a transparent base film(234) and a light blocking pattern(236). The light blocking pattern is formed on one plane of the base film, and comprises a plurality of light blocking parts. The light blocking part includes a polymer resin and at least one discoloring dye. The polymer resin includes at least one of acrylic resin, silicon resin and urethane resin. The discoloring dye is a light discoloring dye changing color according to the wavelength of an external light source.
