A plasma display device is provided to prevent the damage of an IPM(Intellectual Power Module) due to heat by forming exact temperature data of the IPM with a temperature sensor to prevent overheating of the IPM. An IPM(Intellectual Power Module)(200) generates a driving signal for driving a plasma display panel. A heat sink(100) dissipates heat from the IPM. A temperature sensor(300) detects the temperature of the IMP to generate temperature data. At least one groove(150) is formed on the heat sink to install the temperature sensor on a region at which the IPM and the heat sink are coupled. A depth of the groove is 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm. A width of the groove is 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm. The temperature sensor detects temperature of the IPM to convert it into the temperature data and send the temperature data to a control unit. The control unit controls overheating of the heat generated from the IPM by using the temperature data supplied from the temperature sensor.
