A method is provided to adjust a reduction rate of each pass by comparing an initial reduction rate with a pass threshold reduction rate and setting a corrected reduction rate, thereby preventing the front end of a steel sheet from being bent. A method for preventing front-end bending of a hot rolled steel sheet comprises the steps of: calculating an initial reduction rate from a maximum performance of a rolling mill and acquiring a target thickness of a pass before a final pass(S1); calculating a shape rate for each pass except for the final pass, calculating a pass threshold reduction rate from a front end deflection direction reverse threshold shape rate, and comparing the initial reduction rate with the pass threshold reduction rate to set a corrected reduction rate(S2,S3); and assigning the corrected reduction rate to the passes except for the final pass and assigning the front end deflection direction reverse threshold shape rate to the final pass(S4).
