<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion joint handrail which realizes a smooth telescopic motion by suppressing deformation caused by small bending occurring mainly in two directions, that is, a breadthwise direction and a vertical one, and which can make the telescopic motion smoother by reducing a coefficient of friction of a sliding contact portion. <P>SOLUTION: This expansion joint handrail 20 is constituted in a such a manner as to be longitudinally expanded/contracted by means of a one tubular fixed panel 23, a tubular intermediate panel 24 and the other tubular fixed panel 25. A fitting and insertion side and a side subject to fitting and insertion are connected to each other in such a manner as to enable longitudinal relative displacement and disable breadthwise-direction and vertical relative displacement by a connecting means 46 which is composed of first and second longitudinally-elongated connecting mechanisms 47 and 48. A sliding material 63 with a low coefficient of friction is interposed between a bottom on the fitting and insertion side, and a bottom on the side subject to fitting and insertion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
