PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction system of a ship or the like capable of solving problems that the construction cost is enormous, and a large amount of earth and sand must be treated since a coastal area must be excavated to a corresponding depth. SOLUTION: In the construction system or design method of a ship or the like, there is provided a dock capable of maintaining a predetermined water level by its peripheral wall and having the predetermined depth with an opening/closing gate to be communicated with a coastal sea. The water level in the dock is set to be identical to that of the coastal sea by pumping/draining sea water in/from the dock, and a ship or the like is movable thereby. A shallower succeeding dock is continuously provided to the dock, and by controlling the water level in the succeeding dock, a construction space is realized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
