摘要 A method for detecting a connection part in a continuous hot rolling apparatus is provided to detect a connection part between a previous steel plate and a next steel plate by photographing edge parts of the steel plates and comparing a crack depth or a deviation degree of the edge parts with a critical value thereof. A method for detecting a connection part in a continuous hot rolling apparatus comprises the steps of photographing a steel plate using a photographing unit(S410), collecting images of the steel plate(S420), extracting images related to edge parts of the steel plate(S430), calculating edge deviation and crack depth of the steel plate(S440), determining whether the edge deviation or crack depth of the steel plate exceeds a critical value thereof(S450,S460), and cutting the steel plate by sending a connection part detection signal to a high-speed cutter(S470).
