<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency by restraining a voltage drop caused by loss by harmonics or a large current, and attaining size and cost reduction in an apparatus for operating a low-voltage large-current motor. <P>SOLUTION: In this power system for the low-voltage large-current motor, an AC motor 1 such as a vehicular turbo assist motor is driven by a large current through an inverter IV of a PAM system from a variable voltage power source 3 including an AC generator 3A and a rectifying circuit 3B. A voltage adjusting circuit 3C for the variable low-voltage power source 3 controls a field current of the AC generator 3A based on a command voltage Rv from an inverter control circuit FC for controlling an operation frequency Fm of the inverter IV during the operation of the motor 1 to automatically adjust the output voltage Vd of the AC generator 3A. Besides, an output of the AC generator 3A is rectified by the second rectifying circuit 3E to charge a power supply battery 4 so that power can be supplied to the other electric load (auxiliary apparatus) by the power supply battery 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
