<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual and tactile sense display device capable of sensing tactile sense in an active driving form which materializes a visual signal showing a display image and a tactile signal showing information on texture tactually. <P>SOLUTION: The visual and tactile sense display device comprises: a display part including a plurality of scanning lines, a plurality of data lines and a plurality of pixels; a tactile sense induction part which is mounted to the top of the display part to transmit light emitted from the pixels, which includes a plurality of corresponding pixels formed at positions corresponding to the pixels and a transistor electrically connecting the adjacent corresponding pixels with each other and which induces electrostatic force or magnetostatic force; and a sensing part which contacts with the corresponding pixel and senses the electrostatic force or magnetostatic force induced by the tactile sense induction part. Thus, the texture of an image appearing on a display can be provided as tactile sense information by using the electrostatic force or magnetostatic force, so that not only visual information but also tactual information on a conventional display can be transmitted simultaneously. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
