PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-luminance color cathode-ray tube capable of preventing adhesion of a barium film to a phosphor screen, of preventing luminance degradation and luminance irregularity due to the barium film, of keeping getter adsorption capability above a predetermined level, and of keeping a discharge current in design; and to provide a manufacturing method of the high-luminance color cathode-ray tube without needing additional equipment investment. SOLUTION: This color cathode-ray tube 1 has, in a cathode-ray tube body, an electron gun 6, a phosphor screen 3, a color selection mechanism 4, an internal magnetic shield 9 and a getter part 12. The getter part is arranged at a position capable of keeping of scattering of a getter material to the center of the phosphor screen 3 through the internal magnetic shield, and a plurality of getter windows 13 and 13a are formed on a surface of the internal magnetic shield 9 facing the getter part 12.
