PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera and an image display system, by which one can know an easy-to-retrieve image from context of stored images and enjoy more varieties of photo shot, and by which retrieval is made to be easy. SOLUTION: In the camera 10 comprising inside: a shooting section 12; a recoding section 21 for recoding a shot image; and a display section 20, a plurality of keywords are input by a switch section 17. By retrieval based on a first keyword representing a subject to be shot by the camera and a second keyword that is given arbitrarily, both of which have been input by the switch section 17, the number of retrieval objects to be retrieved is displayed on the display section 20.
