PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a strain from being generated caused by a temperature change or the like, to obtain a stable detection result by holding surely an element, and to enhance detection precision. SOLUTION: In a rotation detection sensor 66 having sensor parts 70a, 70b including a magnetoelectric conversion element 78 and a processing part 80, one-parts of the sensor parts 70a, 70b arranged inside a casing 72 are fixed to the casing 72 by a sealing part 76 comprising a potting resin, and a connection terminal 86 connected to the processing part 80 is connected electrically to the first-fourth terminals 88, 90, 92, 94 of a holder 74 arranged in an end part of the casing 72, by resistance welding. A thermal expansion coefficient of the casing 72 comprising a metal material is set to be substantially equal to that of the sealing part 76 comprising a resin material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
