PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple stage compressor capable of providing high coefficient of performance (COP) and high refrigeration capacity close to a three stage compressor although the same is a two stage compressor, and a refrigeration cycle using the same. SOLUTION: In the multiple stage compressor 2 having a low stage side compression mechanism 4 and a high stage side compression mechanism 5 housed and installed in a hermetic housing 3, delivering refrigerant gas compressed by the low stage side compression mechanism 4 into the hermetic housing 3, and sucking intermediate pressure refrigerant gas in the hermetic housing 3 into the high stage side compression mechanism 5 to compress the refrigerant gas in two stages, a first gas injection circuit 20 injecting intermediate pressure refrigerant gas extracted from a refrigerant circuit into the hermetic housing 3 is connected to the hermetic housing 3, and a second gas injection circuit 21 injecting intermediate pressure refrigerant gas of higher pressure than the intermediate pressure refrigerant gas extracted from the refrigerant circuit into a compression chamber 54 of the high stage side compression mechanism 5 is connected to the high stage side compression mechanism 5.
