PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a distance without receiving noise influence as in measuring a distance in a TOF method. SOLUTION: A plurality of images are taken with a digital camera 1 being horizontally moved to thereby obtain the plurality of the images. A distance calculator 51 recognizes a plurality of objects contained in the plurality of the images. Amounts of displacements are calculated in the plurality of the images among objects corresponding to the plurality of the images, so that an object distance, i.e., relative distances from the digital camera 1 to the plurality of the images are calculated based on the magnitude correlation of the displacements.
