PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a resin composition, by which a coagulation-preventing agent added in a process for forming alkaline earth metal carbonate particles are removed without coagulating the particles in a subsequent process, thereby enabling to produce the resin composition formulated with the alkaline earth metal carbonate particles and having excellent transparency. SOLUTION: This method for producing the resin composition formulated with the alkaline earth metal carbonate particles is characterized by comprising a particle-forming process for forming the alkaline earth metal carbonate particles in the presence of a coagulation-preventing agent, and a removing process for removing the coagulation-preventing agent, before the formed alkaline earth metal carbonate particles are added to the resin, wherein the coagulation-preventing agent is removed in the removing process so that the coagulation-preventing agent is reduced to a content of≤1.0 mass% based on the resin.
