PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method excellent in contamination resistance and workability. SOLUTION: The coating method comprises a step of applying a modified silicone-based coating agent containing no curing catalyst to the surface of a modified silicone-based material containing a curing catalyst. A curing reaction of the coating agent containing no curing catalyst is caused by making good use of the curing catalyst contained in the modified silicone-based material to cure the coating agent applied to only the modified silicone-based material.
