<p>There is provided a non-contact defect detection apparatus for automatically detecting a defect on a surface of a slab manufactured in a continuous casting process. The apparatus includes: a light source emitting light to a surface of a slab; a charge-coupled device (CCD) camera located in an outer area of directly reflective light emitted from the light source and reflected on the surface of the slab, imaging the surface of the slab to which the light is emitted, and providing an image of the surface of the slab; and an image processor detecting a defect formed on the surface of the slab from the image provided by the CCD camera.</p> |
