<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can be made compact and can suppress the occurrence of a roller mark on an image on a transfer material. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device comprises: a fixing part 18 on which a pair of fixing rollers 10, 11 for heating and fixing a toner image transferred to a transfer material P are arranged; a discharge part 19 on which a pair of discharge rollers 14, 15 for discharging the transfer material P passed through the fixing part 18 are arranged; a pair of smoothing rollers 12, 13 arranged between the pair of fixing rollers 10, 11 and the pair of discharge rollers 14, 15 in a conveying route of the transfer material P and having a roller part wider than the width of the transfer material P in the width direction of the transfer material P to be conveyed; a partition wall 16 which is a partition wall for isolating the fixing part 18 from the discharge part 19 and has an opening 16a through which the transfer material passes; and a cooling fan 21 for cooling the discharge part 19, wherein the pair of smoothing rollers 12, 13 are arranged so as to block the opening 16a of the partition wall 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
