<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately adjust the orientation of an array antenna for a direction detector in a prescribed direction to an object of installation. <P>SOLUTION: A radar device emits radar waves, receives incoming waves of radar waves, which return after reflected at an object, at the array antenna, and detects the direction of the incoming waves on the basis of reception signals. Specifically, the radar device estimates the number of incoming waves in normal mode operation (S170), detects the direction of each incoming wave (S200), and provides detection results for an inspection tool. The radar device does not estimate the number of incoming waves in axis adjustment mode operation, takes in the number of incoming waves as is taken on a fixed value (S180), detects the direction of each incoming wave, and provides detection results for the inspection tool. When orientation is to be adjusted, an operator makes the radar device operate in the axis adjustment mode through the inspection tool, makes direction detection results of the radar device displayed on the inspection tool, and adjusts the orientation of the radar device on the basis of its display content. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
