PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter having good workability and equipped with an easily attachable empty box-returning device. SOLUTION: The empty box-returning device 30 is arranged outside of a seedling carrier device 20 installed beside a traveling machine body 1. The empty box-returning device 30 comprises an empty box-conveying unit 32 and an accumulation unit 38 installed to be protruding below the outside of the machine body in a conveying downstream of the empty box-returning device 30. Laid members conveyed by the conveying unit 32 are accumulated to the accumulation unit 38 by moving in a direction crossing to the conveying direction along guide members 37 at the downstream end of the convey direction.
