METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING GASTROINTESTINAL DISORDERS

Methods are provided directed to administering a therapeutically effective amount of a prostaglandin EP₄ agonist component to a mammal afflicted with or prone to affliction with a disease or condition selected from an esophageal ulcer, alcohol gastropathy, a duodenal ulcer, a gastric ulcer, non-steroidal anti- inflammatory drug-induced gastroenteropathy and intestinal ischemia. Such administration results in treating or preventing the disease or condition.
