An imaging forming device capable of processing voice and a voice processing method thereof are provided to enable a user to search/manage previously recorded or printed files efficiently by generating a voice file tagged with metadata like additional information to the recorded voice while printing the voice recorded by the user. A voice processor(110) generates a voice file by recording voice of a user and generates text information from the voice file, and a printing engine(130) prints the text information. An additional information generator(150) generates additional information related to printing of the text information by reading the text information. A voice file generator(170) generates the final voice file by adding the additional information to the voice file. A database(160) stores the final voice files and an interface(180) transfers the final voice file to an external storage medium(200). The additional information generator generates the additional information by combining the text information placed in a target area of the generated text information, voice file generation time information, user information, and printing option.
