A broadcasting terminal and a method for notifying a preference broadcasting program for the same are provided to enable a user to register information about the preference broadcasting program of a user previously and confirm the preference broadcasting program information during reproduction of broadcasting, thereby removing the necessity that the user has to search preference broadcasting programs in an EPG each time. A broadcasting receiver(110) receives an EPG(Electronic Program Guide) including plural broadcasting program information. A memory(130) stores at least one preference broadcasting program information. A controller(160) searches whether broadcasting program information consistent with the preference broadcasting program information stored in the memory is present in the EPG received from the broadcasting receiver. A display(150) displays the broadcasting program information searched by the controller.
