<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily register, with high precision, a document described in an original in scanning and registering the document. <P>SOLUTION: A marker M made of a barcode or the like is added to an original 10. Information about a scanning condition for scanning original information at least by an MFP (multi-function peripheral) 20 is embedded in the marker M. The scanning condition embedded in the marker M is read with prescanning by the MFP 20. The MFP 20 scans document information or the like on the original 10 on the basis of the scanning condition and makes a service provide 30 register document data relating to the scanning and the marker M.
