<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quick and direct system for achieving closure of a wound, having no substantial leak of blood or fluid around a wound closed part. <P>SOLUTION: The knotless wound closing device comprises a main body 20 that is thin and long, and flexible, having a proximal end and a distal end to prescribe a longitudinal shaft, a plurality of surface features 14 extended roughly separated from the longitudinal shaft to extend, and a plurality of through-holes 16 formed along the length of the thin and long flexible main body 20. The proximal end is shaped and sized in such a way as to pass a body tissue, and then be selectively inserted into at least one of the plurality of the through-holes 16, and at least one of the surface features 14 is inserted into at least one through-hole 16, thereby a locked and closed loop is formed to fix the body tissue held inside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
