PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor which facilitates the connection work between a coil and a terminal pin. SOLUTION: A housing 25 used in a stepping motor 1 has an end plate 30a which extends in a direction orthogonal to the axis L of rotation and to which a bearing 26 for supporting the rotation of a hollow rotor 2 is fixed, and a plurality of overhanging portions 30b which extend in the direction of the extension of the axis L of rotation from the edge of the end plate 30a which enables the weight reduction of the housing 25, thus resulting in the weight reduction of the stepping motor itself. Furthermore, a first terminal block 40 is fixed to the first overhanging portion 30bA and a second terminal block 50 is fixed to the second overhanging portion 30bB so as to make the distance between one terminal block 40 and the other terminal block 50 depend upon the distance between the first overhanging portion 30bA and the second overhanging portion 30bB, thereby elongating the distance between the terminal blocks 40 and 50. Wire connection work between coils 9A and 9B and terminal pins 41a, 41b, 51a, and 51b is made extremely easy. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
