PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system utilizing a solar cell, contributing to reduction of dioxide emission quantity by avoiding utilization of commercial power as much as possible and saving consumption of fossil fuel, and to provide a control method of the power supply system and a control program of the power supply system. SOLUTION: The power supply system has a solar cell 11, a DC power transformer 12 for transforming power output from the solar cell 11, a packed battery 13 and a rectifier 14 for transforming commercial AC power into DC power, wherein the DC power transformer 12 and the rectifier 14 supply power to the packed battery 13 and a load, and the packed battery 13 supplies power to the load. The power supply system includes a control section 15 for performing control so that when the voltage of the packed battery 13 is lowered to be a first set value or low, the rectifier 14 is activated to supply the power output from the rectifier 14 to the load and the packed battery 13, and when the voltage of the packed battery 13 becomes not less than a second set value higher than the first set value, the operation of the rectifier 14 is stopped.
